Industrial Talk 1: Summarized the talk and created a poster titled 'Overview of ICT Jobs in Clarity Techworks Sdn. Bhd.'


Throughout the talk delivered by the Clarity Techworks team, I learned that there are many roles and expectations in this field. I deepened my understanding of the dynamic nature of ICT careers, recognizing the importance of adaptability and continuous learning in navigating the rapidly evolving technology landscape. This experience reinforced the holistic approach required for success in the industry as the speakers mentioned, blending theoretical knowledge with practical skills and emphasizing the significance of ongoing learning, practical experience, and effective networking for personal and professional growth.

Assignment 2: Video

Industrial Visit 1: Produced a video on visit to UTMDigital and the attended virtual talk from our digital university driver.


I learned about the various digital services, infrastructure, and systems provided by UTM Digital to support the university. This includes IT services like email, software, cloud computing, networking, and information systems development. I gained insights into the technical architecture, security measures, and development methodologies used by the IT teams at UTM. The session demonstrates the importance of IT infrastructure and skilled tech teams in enabling a university's operations and services. I'm impressed by UTM's investments in IT capabilities and systems. It would be interesting to learn how the technologies are used to enhance teaching, research, and the student experience. The agile development process seems effective for rapidly building useful applications. Overall, the talk highlights the integral role IT plays in a leading university today.

The UTMDigital visit provided a unique opportunity for us to witness and engage with cutting-edge technologies in the field. Interacting with professionals and experts during the visit has offered invaluable insights into industry practices, trends, and challenges. This firsthand knowledge has given me a broader perspective on real-world applications of digital technologies. We visited four places: Open Office, UTMDigital Care Office, TM Room, and lastly, UTM Data Centre. At each checkpoint, we were exposed to the facilities, learned about the responsibilities of the Digital Service Team, explored the features of Advanced Huawei TV, and noted the differences between the old and upgraded Data Centre. Moreover, we conducted an interview with a senior IT Officer, Mrs. Diniha Miskam. The session was very helpful in clarifying our understanding of the IT field. It was a wonderfully knowledgeable visit, and I'm grateful for the chance to explore UTMDigital.
